I found this blog by accident and was quite impressed with
what I found depite some draw backs.
When looking at the blog straight on it is really not anything special,
however it is very practical. All the information you would need it within a
short scroll or a click on the side bar and all of which are very well labelled.
Links to articles, extended versions of the articles and
specific sections on the side bar are all colour coded and make it much easier
to find most things on the blog.
The blog could use some updating on it’s visuals however, as
the pictures look somewhat dated and many just inappropriate for the content or
the colouring conflicts with others.
As far as the content goes everything it seems to be quite
proficient, the writing it in depth yet not to technical that most people would
not be able to understand it. A range of topics are posted and are posted frequently
on a scheduled basis.
The Blog has quite a
lot of community feed back which is something to aim for when writing a blog
and the writer has succeeded in keeping true to her audience’s interests.
Overall, despite some design downfalls, ‘The Editor’s Blog’
is a functional, education and well
written blog and it is clear that
considerable effort has gone into its development.
